A few months ago I had the opportunity to visit BYU to give a presentation to animation students on SOE. We had two interns last summer from their animation program working on Vanguard. They have been doing some great animation work there.
I also had the chance to visit USC Game Pipe and other top notch programs. I have also been working on a mentoring program with another top school, the Art Institute of California – San Diego, where SOE developers mentor senior students on a game prototype project. More on this next time.
Come out to the east coast!!

It is important to offer a sincere thank you for all of the time, great energy and insight offered by Sony Online Entertainment. The Game Art & Design students at The Art Institute of California-San Diego go through rigorous training in an effort to prepare them for the real, working world. It is, however, the opportunity to have dialogue with industry professionals such as the ones at SOE that truly helps them understand what it takes to make that leap into a successful career. We appreciate your willingness to mentor the students, share your expertise with our faculty and staff, and build upon what is already a very positive, strong relationship.
Thank you SOE!
